TeamHero Privacy Policy

1. TeamHero Software

TeamHero is open-source software distributed under the MIT License. The software is designed to run on infrastructure you control. The TeamHero project does not operate a centralized service that automatically receives and stores your operational workspace data.

This policy describes the official TeamHero distribution. A fork, plugin, integration, deployment provider, or modified copy may behave differently. Review its code and policies.

2. Data Stored Locally

Depending on your configuration, local TeamHero data may include agent definitions, tasks, plans, approvals, histories, memories, knowledge-base content, files, logs, preferences, integration configuration, and credentials. This data is stored on your machine or self-hosted environment and is controlled by you or your system administrator.

TeamHero authors and maintainers do not receive local data merely because you install or run the software.

3. Data Sent to AI Providers and Integrations

When you configure TeamHero to use an AI provider, API, browser, repository, email system, messaging service, plugin, or other integration, data required for that action is sent directly to the selected service. This may include prompts, files, task context, output, credentials, commands, repository data, messages, and technical metadata.

Those providers independently determine how they process data under their terms and privacy policies. Review the provider, account type, retention settings, model-training settings, permissions, and destination before use. TeamHero contributors do not control third-party processing.

4. Credentials and Security

TeamHero includes a local credentials vault for supported secrets. The official distribution is designed to encrypt supported vault values at rest using AES-256-GCM and to keep encryption material local. Security still depends on your operating system, device access, backups, configuration, dependencies, and how agents or integrations use credentials.

You are responsible for least-privilege access, credential rotation, system updates, backups, monitoring, and revocation. A compromised device or malicious dependency may expose local data or credentials despite application-level safeguards.

5. TeamHero Pages on gokapow.com

When you visit TeamHero pages hosted on gokapow.com, website hosting systems process standard request data. Optional Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity analytics load only after consent through the Kapow cookie banner. Those website practices are described in the Kapow Privacy Policy.

Website analytics are not part of the TeamHero software installed from GitHub.

6. Bug Reports, Security Reports, and Communications

If you open a GitHub issue, discussion, or pull request, GitHub processes the information under its policies and the submission may be public. Remove credentials, private files, and unnecessary personal information.

Security reports should be sent privately to contact@gokapow.com, not posted publicly. Information you submit is used to investigate, communicate about, and remediate the report and may be retained as needed for security and legal records.

7. Your Control and Responsibility

Because TeamHero data is stored in an environment you control, you generally access, export, correct, back up, or delete it directly. Your organization or hosting administrator may control additional copies, logs, backups, or access permissions.

For data held by an AI provider, integration, GitHub, hosting provider, or another third party, contact that provider. For gokapow.com website data, contact contact@gokapow.com.

8. Changes and Contact

This policy may be updated as the official TeamHero distribution or hosted pages change. The “Last updated” date identifies the current website version.
